What We Do

Weekly worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am; and worship at other times, including baptisms, marriages, and funeral services.

Jazz Vespers on first Thursdays at 6:00pm, a time of singing, silence, and jazz, led by our Jazz Vespers ensemble of Marisa Massery, vocals; Ben Kohn, piano; Katharine Wiencke, flute; Andy Wrba, bass; and Sturgis Cunningham, drums.

Faith formation activities for children, youth, and adults and for families of all makeups. Learn more about the faith formation ministry at Zion Lutheran Church by clicking here.

“God’s work. Our hands” Sundays, quarterly events where we get directly involved with service projects in the community.

The ELCA Youth Gathering, a international triennial gathering of over 30,000 Lutheran youth and adult leaders, which Zion Lutheran attended for the second time in a row in 2015.

Beer & Hymns (& Carols… & Showtunes… ) a biannual sing-along held in a local restaurant. We drink beer (and wine and nonalcoholic beverages), call out songs, and sing through the evening, while raising funds for a local nonprofit.

Offer support locally and regionally to the Christian Center, the Elizabeth Freeman Center, Soldier On, and Ascentria Care Alliance; and nationally and internationally through ELCA World Hunger, through Lutheran Disaster Response, and in other ways as we are called to act.

And lots of other annual events, like an evening at Tanglewood, our annual Plant Sale, the Pittsfield Ethnic Fair, and more.

Zion Lutheran also collaborates with and hosts events by numerous local community organizations, including the Berkshire Concert Choir, the Stockbridge Sinfonia, Barrington Stage Company, the Berkshire Music School, and local 12-step groups.
